Youth Services
As the medical provider for Garfield High School, East LA Community College, and LA Trade Tech, we have programming and resources specifically for youth. The Youth Alliance for STIs and Substance Use (YASSS) program is a SAMHSA-funded program that operates within our LGBTQ Department.

Services are LGBTQ+ friendly, and Spanish speakers are on staff. All are welcome.

The Via Care YASSS program aims to expand LGBTQ+ services in East LA to address substance abuse, mental health, and HIV disparities among LGBTQ+ and Latinx youth. Youth participants receive access to peer health education sessions, rapid HIV and STI testing along with mental health screening.
The health education sessions cover the following topics:

-
HIV, PrEP & PEP, and HIV Stigma
-
Birth Control and Contraception
-
Behavioral Health & Addiction
-
Healthy Relationships & STIs
Youth participants may also qualify for program incentives including various gift cards.
